Call to DelMarVa Artists
Local Art Wanted for Sales and Display
The Emerson Restaurant in Denton, MD, is looking for work from local artists to sell in their new “Country Store” area. In addition, there is space for all formats of wall art to be displayed in one of the dining rooms. The art displayed in the dining room will be available for sale. Exhibits will rotate every 3 months.
Local artists working in any art medium and style are invited to submit photos of their work for review and consideration. Either hard copy 5x7 or 8x10 photos or digital photos are acceptable. Please send up to 5 photos and submission form to bmartin35@comcast.net or to Emerson House Art, c/o Barbara Martin, 200 S. 1st Street, Denton, MD 21629. The deadline for submission is November 15, 2007. All artists will be contacted by phone or email by November 30, 2007. Send ONLY photos and Submission Form; Do not send actual items. Photos will not be returned.
Accepted artists must sign a release form ensuring that the art items they consign to us are their own, original work.
TERMS: Consignment agreement for sales in the Country Store is 20/80; 20% of the sale of the item goes to Emerson House, 80% of the sale goes to the artist, payable on a monthly basis. Art displayed in the dining room will be commission-free; however any art work that is sold will not change hands until the 3-month display period is complete. The artist will be responsible for hanging the art work, as directed by Emerson House.
