Experience: After 20+ years as a dental laboratory technician, specializing in crown and bridge prosthetics, I continue with the lost wax method of casting by creating pieces of wearable art in 2 and 3 dimension.
The intent is to capture the accuracy of the subject while creating a wearable keepsake of jewelry. I use ancient casting bronze, sterling silver or gold, featuring horses, foxes, birds, wildlife, nature and nautical themes. All the pieces are hand finished. From cuff links and key fobs to pins/pendants, charms, earrings and belt buckles, my work can be seen in museum shops, galleries, and equestrian and other gift shops around the USA. With the different metals and various sizes of the same design, the price ranges fit into every category.
I teach classes at the Queen Ann Center for the Arts in Centreville, MD on the Lost Wax Method of Casting.
