Saturday 10th:
2nd Saturdays at The Foundry- Calligraphy with Art Bounds 2-4pm, 401 Market St., Denton. Watch as Mr. Bounds demonstrates the fine art of calligraphy. Free!
Saturday 17th:
4th Annual Community Arts Block Party- 5-9pm 401 Market St., Denton. Celebrate the arts with live entertainment, art activities, artist demonstrations, and lots of fun for the whole family. Free! Cash food & drink concessions.
Sunday 18th:
Maryland Shakespeare Festival presents Romeo & Juliet- 6:30pm, Caroline County Courthouse Green, 109 Market Street, Denton MD. Bring your own lawn chairs or blankets! In the event of rain, performance relocated to the Caroline County Public Library in Denton. Free!
Wednesday 21st:
Twilight Tunes- Bethel AME Gospel Choir- 5pm County Courthouse Green, Denton. Homegrown music on the green at the Denton Farmer’s Market. Free!
August 2010
Monday 2nd:
Monday Mornings at the Mill- "Kids Animal Necklace" Workshop with Sharon Doss, 10am-12:30pm, at Linchester Mill in Preston. Make a Necklace with hand painted Peru animal beads. Learn legends about wild animals. Boys and Girls ages 6+. $10
Thursday 5th:
Wine & Cheese Reception at The Foundry- to benefit the Caroline Hospice Foundation, 4-7pm. Enjoy a fun-filled evening of wine, hors d’oeuvres, desserts, art, raffles and local guest bartenders! $10 donation
Saturday 14th:
2nd Saturdays at The Foundry- Summers Off 2-4pm, 401 Market St., Denton. Watch as local musicians rock out at The Foundry. Free!
Friday 20th & Saturday 21st:
Caroline Summerfest 2010-Caroline Summerfest is a free, family event. It features more than 100 musicians and performers on three stages. There is rock, country, bluegrass, blues and jazz music. There are jugglers, magicians, dancers and variety entertainment strolling the grounds and on stage. The event is not only alcohol-free, but is hassle-free for families who want to do something together but not go broke in the process. Free!
