Friday Nites in Caroline
Free Arts & Entertainment for Family & Friends!
The Caroline County Council of Arts, in partnership with the Caroline County Public Library, brings you the newly dubbed Friday Nites in Caroline, a merging of the former Friday Nites at the Library and Performing Arts Series. The new series offers a rich variety of entertainment to the residents of Caroline County from October to March. These free performances are held at one of several library venues in the county, and offer fun for the whole family! From brass, jazz, blues and classical musicians to comedians, dancers, circus acts and more, these critically acclaimed performances are a well worth seeing. These free performances are brought to you with support from Tri-Gas & Oil, Best Western Denton Inn, and the Maryland State Arts Council.

The Kuźnik duo performs solo concerts and chamber music recitals. They collaborate with other musicians to perform in a piano trio and a string quartet. Their repertoire includes such composers as: Bach, Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Dvorak, Debussy, Ravel, Honegger, Kodaly, Gershwin, Joplin, Bacewicz and Kuźnik.

IONA presents polished, educational, high energy concerts of pan Celtic music and dance from the 8 European Celtic nations as well as our own, New World traditions: Appalachian, Cajun, Canadian, et al. In existence since 1986, the band has toured internationally and studied throughout the Celtic lands. With well researched explanations and opportunities for audience participation, an IONA concert is an entertaining, whirlwind tour of the music, instruments and dance that have informed so many of our own American traditions.
