Mark Grande Arts Scholarship
A scholarship fund has been established by the Caroline County Council of Arts
in honor of Mark Grande, who was the CCCA Executive Director before his death
in 2005.
Mark was an extremely talented man who gave freely of his time in a number of
areas. In addition to his duties with the CCCA, he was a musician and photographer.
His daughter, Lauren Y. Grande says her father was "a very giving and generous
person. He was a kind, loving and great father."
At Lauren's request, the CCCA has established a scholarship fund for graduating
Caroline County students who are persuing studies in the performing & visual
arts.
This year the CCCA will award two(2) $1000 scholarships to graduating seniors planning to attend college in the Fall of 2008. Students must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher. The submission deadline is March 15, 2008. Scholarship recipients will be notified by the end of May 2008 and award certificates will be presented at the high school's Awards Ceremony.
