Help Make History at Second Saturdays in April
Saturday, April 13th, 2013
On Saturday, April 13th, from 2-4 p.m., The Foundry will host a free community painting activity as part of the Second Saturday series offered at The Foundry, Caroline County Council of Arts’ (CCCA) community art gallery at 401 Market Street in Denton. Foundry artists will be on hand to assist the painting of a quilt panel that will be added to the Underground Railroad Quilt Trail. Fifteen quilt blocks are scheduled to be installed on structures along the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway and All American Road throughout the year 2013 in honor of the centennial celebration of Harriet Tubman. Come out and put your mark on history by helping us paint a panel for this project! For more information about the Underground Railroad Quilt Trail visit www.fiberartscenter.com/quilt-trail/.
