2nd Saturdays at The Foundry

Watch local artists at work!

The Caroline County Council of Arts sponsors 2nd Saturdays at The Foundry, a new series providing the public with an opportunity to watch local artists demonstrate their talents across an array of mediums. From plein air to pumpkin painting, basketweaving to jewelry making, there is always something beautiful going on at The Foundry, on the second Saturday of every month, from 2-4pm. Located at 401 Market Street in Denton, all events are open to the public, free of charge, and often encourage audience participation. So be a part of the arts in Caroline...join us for 2nd Saturdays!

Holiday Paper OrnamentsHelp Make History at Second Saturdays in April

Saturday, April 13th, 2013

2pm-4pm

 

On Saturday, April 13th, from 2-4 p.m., The Foundry will host a free community painting activity as part of the Second Saturday series offered at The Foundry, Caroline County Council of Arts’ (CCCA) community art gallery at 401 Market Street in Denton. Foundry artists will be on hand to assist the painting of a quilt panel that will be added to the Underground Railroad Quilt Trail. Fifteen quilt blocks are scheduled to be installed on structures along the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Byway and All American Road throughout the year 2013 in honor of the centennial celebration of Harriet Tubman. Over 40 Caroline County artists’ works are now on display at The Foundry which is open Wednesday through Saturday 11-5. Free demonstrations and activities from a variety of artists are held the second Saturday of every month from 2-4 p.m.
