Upcoming Artist Demonstrations

September 11th, 2010
Oil Painting Demonstration with M. Joyce Zeigler
Saturday, September 11th
2pm-4pm
On Saturday, August 14th 2-4pm, The Foundry will host Joyce Zeigler as part of the “Second Saturday” series offered at The Foundry, Caroline County Council of Arts’ (CCCA) community art gallery at 401 Market Street in Denton. The event is free to the public!
Joyce Zeigler is a local artist renowned for country scenes and other views of nature as observed all her life on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. Having grown up on a farm, Joyce expresses a deep and abiding love of all things of the earth; farm buildings and animals, flowers, a freshly plowed field, the scurry of clouds across the sky; all of these things enter into her paintings. She paints on location whenever possible and teaches oil painting in her country studio near Ridgely, Maryland. Her paintings can be found in private collections throughout the U.S. and Europe. Mrs. Zeigler has studied with various artists at the Academy Art Museum in Easton, Maryland and with Robert Abbett and Clyde Aspevig at the Scottsdale Artists School in Arizona. She attends workshops with Plein Air Painters of America.
For more information please contact the CCCA office at 410-479-1009. The Foundry is open Tuesday through Saturday 11-4. Free demonstrations and activities from a variety of artists are held the second Saturday of every month from 2-4pm. Coming next month...2nd Saturdays presents Pumpkin Painting with Barbara Donnon on October 9th! Children welcome!
