2nd Saturdays at The Artsway
Watch local artists at work!
The Caroline County Council of Arts sponsors 2nd Saturdays at The Artsway, a new series providing the public with an opportunity to watch local artists demonstrate their talents across an array of mediums. From plein air to pumpkin painting, basketweaving to jewelry making, there is always something beautiful going on at The Artsway, on the second Saturday of every month, from 2-4pm. Located at 4th Street, between Gay and Market Streets in Denton, all events are open to the public, free of charge, and often encourage audience participation. So be a part of the arts in Caroline...join us for 2nd Saturdays!

Birdhouses at the Community Garden
Mosaic Project at The Foundry
On Saturday, August 8, 2-4pm, there are several activities for the public to enjoy at the Denton Artsway in downtown Denton. These activities are free and open to all ages.
The Denton Community Demonstration Garden (DCDG) offers their “Come Grow with Us” series where the community can participate in a number of community garden efforts to support the community garden. These activities will be offered on the Second Saturday of every month from 2-4 pm at the community garden which is located next to the Town Municipal Parking Lot near Fourth and Gay streets in downtown Denton. For our August activity we will be making birdhouses for the community garden. Come and have some fun at the community garden!
The Foundry community art gallery will be hosting a dragonfly mosaic activity with Foundry artist Joanne Gelles. Materials will be provided for participants to make a mosaic dragonfly tile that will be grouted at the September 12th Second Saturday.
The Artsway is located on Fourth Street, between Market and Gay Streets in Denton. Demonstrations and activities from a variety of artists are typically held either at The Foundry community arts gallery (401 Market St.), FACES (7 N.
