2nd Saturdays at The Artsway

Watch local artists at work!

The Caroline County Council of Arts sponsors 2nd Saturdays at The Artsway, a new series providing the public with an opportunity to watch local artists demonstrate their talents across an array of mediums. From plein air to pumpkin painting, basketweaving to jewelry making, there is always something beautiful going on at The Artsway, on the second Saturday of every month, from 2-4pm. Located at 4th Street, between Gay and Market Streets in Denton, all events are open to the public, free of charge, and often encourage audience participation. So be a part of the arts in Caroline...join us for 2nd Saturdays!

Mosaic with Joanne Gelles

On Saturday, September 13, 2-4pm, the Caroline County Council of Arts (CCCA) will host a mosaic activity with Foundry artist Joanne Gelles, as part of the “Second Saturday” series offered at the Denton Artsway in downtown Denton. The event is free and open to all ages.


As a continuation to the mosaic activity presented in September, previous mosaic works will be grouted and new participants cvan join the fun by completing a mosaic Halloween candle holder.


The Artsway is located on Fourth Street, between Market and Gay Streets in Denton. Free demonstrations and activities from a variety of artists are typically be held either at The Foundry community arts gallery (401 Market St.), FACES (7 N. Fourth St.) or at the Community Demonstration Garden (behind FACES).


There are no scheduled 2nd Saturday events during the months of November & December 2014.
