What do we do for the community?
Our Mission:
To strengthen the cultural, educational, and economic growth in our County through community arts development.
We are now more accessible to artists and the public as we continue to develop our website, artist registry, and art center programs as a resource for the community.
Current Projects and Programs:
"The Foundry" is our community art gallery where fine art pieces and hand-crafted works from over 40 Caroline County artists are on display to view and purchase.
Second Saturdays at The Foundry is a great opportunity to interact with local artists. This free program is held the second Saturday of every month from 2-4pm at The Foundry.
Friday Nites in Caroline continues to be a hit with free critically acclaimed performances including some internationally recognized groups. Held on Fridays during the Fall and Winter seasons, this free performing art series has been a part of Caroline County for over 20 years.
Our annual Community Arts Block Party celebrates the arts with art activities, live entertainment and lots of fun for the whole family.
The CCCA hosts music on the courthouse green with our Twilight Tunes series featuring local performers during the Summer months.
We also celebrate the talents of our community with our annual Short Story, Youth Art, and Mid-Shore Regional Poetry contests.
What can you do for the arts?

Advocate for the arts—let our State Legislators and County Officials know how important the arts are to you and your community; let our business sponsors know how much you enjoyed a particular event or program; sign up for action alerts at www.mdarts.org.
Become a CCCA volunteer—help out at one of our events or join one of our program committees; assist with our fundraising and grant writing efforts; share your expertise with us.
Serve on our board of directors—let us know if you are interested in finding out more about becoming a CCCA board member.

A Letter from the Executive Director of the CCCA:
The CCCA is committed to bringing a variety of quality arts programs to Caroline County and we look forward to seeing you at these great events.
We kick off the season with our Community Arts Block Party on Saturday, September 24 from 5-9pm. This is a free fun event that brings the community together to celebrate the arts and to enjoy a pleasant evening with family, friends and neighbors. We hope to see you there!
Some of our new programs this year include our Foundry Art Receptions, High School Open Mic Night at The Foundry, and our Annual Literary Supper which this year will celebrate the life and works of J.R.R. Tolkein.
Our Masqued Ball theme this year is Rio Carnival. You won’t want to miss out on this fun and worthwhile event, so save the date – Saturday March 3rd!
We continue to present our free Friday Nites in Caroline series in partnership with the Caroline County Public Library, Public Schools, and Recreation & Parks Department. We have a great line up this year. If you are a CCCA member at the “Friend” level or above, don’t forget to take advantage of reserved seating for our Friday Nites events. Contact us for more details at 410.479.1009 or ccartscouncil@verizon.net.
The CCCA is also facilitating a few projects within the Artsway in Denton including a proposed regional quilt and textile center. If you are interested in finding out more about this project, please attend one of the scheduled public meetings, which we will advertise here on our website. Check the home page, and the Artsway page for current information.
We welcome your input, support, and involvement in helping us enhance the economic, cultural, and educational growth of Caroline County through community arts development. If you are not already a current CCCA member, we invite you to become one today. Please contact us for more information or to sign-up as a volunteer.
